"The Edge"

Now is a good time to look at your yard in a different light. You can allow your perennials to die back or your can cut them back. Either way, the goal is to promote healthy growth for the spring. Also, take a look at the perennials in your landscape beds and begin thinking about which plants need to be split and transplanted in the spring.

Want color throughout the spring and summer with little effort? Now is the time to plant bulbs! The flowers can provide your yard with color throughout the growing season and will come back year after year.

Want a greener, healthier looking yard next spring? I recommend aeration and overseeding.  This process takes place throughout the month of September.  The lawn is core aerated to allow moisture and nutrients to reach the roots of the current turf.  Seed (tall fescue) will be applied using a spreader which will help introduce hardier turf types and thicken lawn.  I recommend having this service performed annually, especially if your lawn contains more weeds than you would like for it to contain or is primarily composed of crabgrass.

These simple acts can have a dramatic effect on the landscape of your property.
